Understanding Floral Pricing

Unlike planning services, wedding florals are more difficult to place into package pricing. Wholesale prices vary wildly from stem to stem, and week to week, depending on holiday supply and demand and seasonal availability. Wholesale pricing for florals can more than triple in the weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, whereas prices may be at their lowest in the weeks after a holiday or during peak seasonal months.

Mechanics and complexity of design are also factors that can influence pricing. Compote pieces built with floral frogs - with a more open and airy design - are more costly to create and take more time and detail work than pieces built in floral foam, and cascade bouquets take more time to build than hand-tied pieces.
